The morning statred with the futures slightly lower, but they couldn't wait to run the markets higher. It was funny to watch to buying, like there was no tomorrow, and it abruptly ended when the consumer confidence numbers came out at 7am pst. I wonder how many retail buyers were wondering what happened when they saw the big red candles?? I am not going to get in front of a big freight train. OPEX tomorrow, and not much volume.

Buy weakness and sell into strength.

Had orders in for some Feb 540 GOOG calls. This is an intraday trade. The stock consolidated for a long time before finally breaking out.

The NDX was breaking out this week. Leadership stocks in the NDX will track the NDX, and as the NDX was breaking out higher, the leadership stocks are sure to follow.

Lots of volatility due to OPEX.

We had an entry for Feb GOOG 540 calls at 3.10. The bid came down to 3.10, but the low of the day was 3.30, and reversed, so I never got in. The hod as of 9am is 5.00. This is a a premium stealing kind of day on these options.
