SMF Notes After falling in March from its highest point in three years (72.0 in February),

 the Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index rebounded in April, increasing from 63.8 to 65.4. The Briefing.com consensus expects the rebound continued in May and the Consumer Confidence Index increased to 66.3. The expected growth in the Consumer Confidence Index is slightly less than the surge in sentiment revealed in the final reading of the May University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index.
